Volunteering with us

Habiba Organic Farm (HOF) promotes sustainable volunteer tourism. It is listed among the World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms Independents and is the first such farm in Egypt. WWOOFers can stay for a minimum of three months to give their best in the field of organic, desert agriculture. Other volunteers can stay for programs of three or twenty one days. HOF is a Demeter-registered farm and a member of the Center of Organic Agriculture (COAE) in Egypt.

If you are interested in volunteering at HOF, please fill out this application form and we will be in touch via email.

For students

In cooperation with the Desert Research Center for Egypt, Habiba provides a friendly environment in which to study or research flora and fauna in the desert.

Habiba is designed to be a field in which to experiment and pioneer projects. We stay in contact with many international doctors and professors of agriculture who can help you start your project in our community for research and experiment, exchange and development.

For experts

We are happy to welcome you to share your knowledge and your experiences with the community, giving speeches and workshops and help in growing this place.

  1. Hi there.

My wife and I would like to volunteer with you during our holidays. We live in Cairo with our 2-year-old daughter. First, do you accept families with small children? Second, how do we reach Nuweiba from Cairo (plane to Taba, then bus, or by car)? Are the roads safe?
We are considering having our own farm when we go back to France, so we are eager to help and learn. We speak French and English and know a few (but really just a few) Egyptian words.
